With s1mple as a stand-in (on-loan) for the BLAST Austin Major, FaZe were able to make 5th place at the Major securing them $45,000 prize money. Was he worth it?

Of course he was – the amount of publicity and social media presence that was brought to their organisation for bringing the best player of CSGO back to the server at a professional tier 1 level for CS2 was bound to cause an explosion of socials and it did. Making 5th at a Major with only a couple weeks practice with the team is incredible in itself. During this time, FaZe brought back a retro 90s kit, where s1mple showcased this on thier social media platforms and this was also bound to help sales. Overall $50,000 for a great player, most known player in the whole of Counter-Strike, making 5th at a major and promoting new gear with that player is well worth the money FaZe allegedly paid.
