Day 4 concludes with more departures from the event. Today brought some unexpected results and plays from players and teams you would not expect! There was a lot of straight 2:0 wins today for the group stage. We will go into an in-depth review of Day 4 at PGL Astana 2025!

FURIA vs ODDIK:

The first game of the day to conclude was that of FURIA and ODDIK. FURIA were able to best their rivals 2:0 in the series, allowing them to go 3:1 in the groups stages sending them to the playoffs where they will compete to lift the trophy in front of a crowd! ODDIK have one more chance to either qualify or start packing here at Astana 2025!

NIP vs HOTU:

Next up on the schedule was NIP vs HOTU. Unfortunately for HOTU, they could not challenge NIP in this series losing to the Swedish organization 2:0. This means NIP still have a fighting chance to reach playoffs going 2-2 currently and HOTU have been eliminated from PGL Astana going 1-3 in the groups.

G2 vs BIG:

Anticipated game, G2 vs BIG, was more dominant than most people would have thought. With G2 still having their coach as a stand-in for the tournament the were able to straight beat BIG 2:0 giving them the chance to play for playoffs tomorrow and sending BIG packing for home!

Astralis vs Virtus.Pro

Virtus.Pro were the favourites going into this match up. No one expected the result to have ended like this with HooXi being one of the best players for the Danish side! HooXi on Dust2 was able to carry his teammates to the win going an incredible 28-22! He pulled off an incredible 4K using the smoke as leverage to make the play. HooXi was able to get more rounds on Dust2 this tournament that cadiaN had been able to get during his whole time as IGL of Astralis! However, on the opposite side of the server, VP were able to best Astralis on Inferno. Electronic sent his team to B EVERY single round of the T side and they won! After the series win, Astralis head straight to playoffs, leaving VP fighting for one last chance to play on the stage!

MIBR vs paIN:

MIBR looked weak off the get go, but were able to bring themselves back into the game beating paIN 2:0 in the series allowing them to play tomorrow for a chance to fight in the playoffs! Unfortunately for paIN this means they are eliminated from the tournament all together after going 1-3!

Na’Vi vs Aurora:

After an incredibly back and forth game on Train, Na’Vi were able to best Aurora and win their map pick! Moving on to Inferno, it was another very close game with rounds going back and forth. After some time, Na’Vi started to edge a few rounds away from Aurora and eventually beat them on their map pick making them win the series 2:0. This means that Na’Vi will head to the playoffs and leave Aurora with a game tomorrow to determine if they are eliminated or not!
