Jimpphat Interview after first Victory over Vitality in Semifinals of IEM Cologne 2025

This is the 8th tine playing against Vitality and you have finally beaten them. How does it feel to do it here in Cologne?

It feels really good to be honest before this game we were 7-0 against them, which sucks a lot. But, today we managed to beat them because we were the better team today. Of course we still have the Grand Final to win, that’s the most important thing for us. But still of course this win feels really good.

You guys as a team played amazing today with a lot of confidence. What changed from previous head to head’s with Vitality?

I mean, I think for me the biggest change to be honest was yesterdays game, at least individually. Yesterday I didn’t feel so good and I was staying in my room after the game even though we won. I was sad because I was playing really poorly and I was saying to myself I cannot play like this. If I play like this we cannot beat Vitality. I really had to step it up as an individual but also as a teammate. I really tried to boost everyone up, cheer for everyone, make everyone happy and I think I succeeded. At least we won so that’s the good thing.

Do you think you will be able to carry that confidence into the game against Spirit tomorrow in the Final?

Yeah I think so. I think for us this victory means a lot. Of course, we still need to win the grand final but even though this win alone gives a lot of confidence for us and that’s what we want. If we can play like we played today I have no doubt that we are not going to win tomorrow.
