The final day of Stage 2 concludes with more teams ending their run in Cologne and others entering the Cathedral on Friday and Saturday for IEM Cologne 2025. We have a rundown of the final day of Stage 2 before Playoffs at IEM Cologne 2025.

Faze vs Aurora
In this elimination game, Faze took on the side of Aurora. The first map was a close back and forth game with Faze being able to clinch the map win. Going into map 2, Faze clearly wanted to end the series quick and obliterated the side of Aurora 13-1 on Mirage! This crazy runover eliminates Aurora from IEM Cologne 2025. Faze will now play again to determine their fate in the tournament.

NIP vs Na’Vi
In the second elimination game of the day, a strong looking NIP took on a very convincing Na’Vi. NIP came out in the first map with a victory, however Na’Vi were able to reverse sweep NIP, beating them 13-3 then 13-11 to secure the series win and avoid elimination. NIP now exit Cologne and leave Na’Vi to play again to see if they can make Playoffs in the Lanxess.

The MongolZ vs Vitality
The Grand Final of the Austin Major 2025 rerun was played between the same teams, The MongolZ and Vitality. Vitality were easily able to beat the Mongolian side 2:0 in the series granting them straight access to the Semi Finals of IEM Cologne 2025. The MongolZ now need to play in a Quarter Final to advance.

MOUZ vs Spirit
MOUZ took on Spirit to decide who would be advancing straight to the Semi Finals. The firs map had to go to an overtime, where Spirit were able to close out the map 16-13. On map two, Mirage, the game went to a triple OT, were both teams played with all their strength to see who would be heading to the Semis. In the end, MOUZ were able to get to the 22nd round and secure the 2nd map win. On the decider map of Overpass, Spirit destroyed MOUZ 13-6 sending them straight to the Semi Finals and leaving MOUZ to fight in the Quarters.

Na’Vi vs Faze
In their second game of the day for both Na’Vi and Faze, this one was to decide who would have to pack their bags and exit the tournament here in Cologne. On Ancient, Faze struggled to find any momentum in the game losing to Na’Vi 13-4, in the second game they were able to gain some confidence back but the communication and teamplay from Na’Vi was too overwhelming and they were beat 2:0 in the series. This means Faze are now eliminated from IEM Cologne 2025. Na’Vi head to the Quarter Finals in the Lanxess Arena.

G2 vs FURIA
In the final elimination game of the day, G2 took on FURIA. FURIA have been playing incredibly well recently and they only reinforced that in this match up. G2 took FURIA all the way to OT on Inferno, with Molodoy having a star performance going 31 and 13 to take his team to the Lanxess in Cologne. This is the first Cologne for FURIA and Fallen’s first Cologne in 8 years. We look forward to seeing them play in front of a crowd in the Cathedral of Counter-Strike.
