Day 3 of Stage 2 of IEM Cologne 2025 has come to a close, where some teams prepare to play in front of the Lanxess Arena, with others packing their suit cases for the long trip home. Here is another breakdown of IEM Cologne 2025.

NIP vs HEROIC

In the first elimination game of the day, both Nordic teams go head to head to see who survives another day in Cologne. NIP smashed the side of HEROIC 13-4 and 13-6 respectively, which was a surprising result for most, as most people expected HEROIC to at least get a map or win the series. However, NIP cleanly and very easily took down HEROIC eliminating them from IEM Cologne, leaving themselves to fight again tomorrow to survive and make it to the Lanxess.

Na’Vi vs MOUZ

The second game of the day involved Na’Vi and MOUZ. Na’Vi, with new rookie player makazze, started both games strong able to accumulate a lead on rounds in the beginning of the games. However, MOUZ were able to get into their element shutting down Na’Vi 13-10 and 13-10 to win the series 2:0 and advance to the IEM Cologne 2025 Playoffs. Na’Vi are left fighting in the lower bracket to see if they will be eliminated or play in front of a crowd in the Lanxess.

Faze vs Liquid

In the second elimination game of the day, Faze took on Liquid to decide who would be gracing the airport early. Faze asserted their dominance over Liquid, shutting them down 2:0 in the series with a 13-6 and an incredible 13-2 score line. Liquid are now eliminated from the tournament, leaving Faze to play in another elimination game to determine their position at Cologne 2025.

Aurora vs Spirit

Aurora, with stand in xfl0ud, took on a very dominant looking Spirit. Spirit were able to dominate Aurora and beat them a swift 2:0 in the series. donk was able to conjure his best abilities and get a crazy 60-28 K/D in the series with a 32-13 K/D on Nuke. Spirit will now head to the Lanxess, leaving Aurora to play further to determine their fate here at IEM Cologne 2025.

3DMAX vs G2

Another elimination match was between that of 3DMAX and G2. G2 have 3 new members of the roster but proved here that the organization made the correct changes. They were able to best the French side 13-8 and 13-6 to win the series 2:0 and play another day to possibly make Playoffs here at IEM Cologne 2025. 3DMAX are now eliminated from IEM Cologne.

Faclons vs FURIA

The final elimination game of the day was between Falcons and FURIA. Falcons were able to start strong winning the first map of Train, however, FURIA were able to come back and reverse sweep the power org and stomp them 2:1 in the series eliminating Falcons from IEM Cologne 2025! FURIA now play another elimination game to decide their fate and Falcons are left scratching their head after yet another early elimination from a tournament even with the signing of prodigy kid Kyousuke.
