Day two concludes at IEM Cologne 2025. We welcome some teams to stage 2 and say goodbye to others who have been eliminated from the tournament completely. Here is a rundown of day 2 of IEM Cologne 2025!

GamerLegion vs Virtus.Pro

The first game of the day today was between that of GamerLegion and Virtus.Pro to see who would advance straight to Stage 2 of Cologne. Both teams came flying out the gates showing how badly they both wanted

Complexity vs TYLOO

The second game of the day between Complexity and TYLOO was to determine who would be exiting Cologne 2025. TYLOO were able to clutch the remaining to maps after losing closely to Complexity on Overpass. They will play again to determine if they move to Stage 2, Complexity however are eliminated from IEM Cologne 2025.

3DMAX vs NiP

The third game of the day was another decider to see who would be heading to Stage 2 at Cologne. 3DMAX took over Ninjas in Pyjamas in their second game of the tournament. NiP showed why they were able to achieve their VRS points from zero to where they are now. They have proved they should be here at tier 1 events. They advance to Stage 2 and leave 3DMAX playing an extra day for elimination or qualification to Stage 2.

B8 vs FlyQuest

Another elimination game of the day was between B8 and FlyQuest. This match up had to go all the way to 3 maps where the teams battled it out to double OT, where FlyQuest were just able to clinch victory from the young Ukrainians FlyQuest survive another day and leave B8 packing from the tournament here in Cologne.

MIBR vs HEROIC

MIBR took on HEROIC to determine who would also be leaving the tournament early. HEROIC looked shaky yesterday but were able to step up today only allowing the side of MIBR a total of 10 rounds over both games. They did not give the Brazilian side a chance. MIBR are now eliminated and HEROIC fight another day to make it to Stage 2.

Faze vs Liquid

The most anticipated game of the day was between Faze and Liquid. Faze come into this tournament with their old AWPer broky who has come back from a break from the scene. He was looking sharp in this match up today. Liquid, unfortunately have lost this game 2:1 with their new coach flashie, formerly Na’Vi’s analyst. The team were able to steal a map away from the side of Faze, however were shut down on the decider map of Nuke 13_2. This means Faze head to Stage 2 and leave Liquid fighting tomorrow to secure their spot.
