FalleN Interview after 2:1 loss to MOUZ – IEM Cologne 2025

Interview with FalleN after his 2:1 loss against MOUZ in the Quarterfinals of IEM Cologne 2025:

That was a really unfortunate series for you guys, Molodoy popped off, what do you think went wrong in the last map?

I think we could have won this series, it was very close. Both maps we lost we had chances of winning. Molodoy was playing super well, im quite happy for everyone on the team. I have to rewatch the game but there was two 5v4’s in a row where some unfortunate things happened and they took it away and I prefer to think they deserved it in a sense. Where they were able to show resilience and still play the 4v5’s really well and find the kills they needed play situations super tough and still manage on top of it. I think they played well, their experience helped them a little bit. Unfortunately 1 kill didn’t go our way basically, 1 kill. We are talking about a close margin here.

This is your first time back in Cologne after 8 years. What was it like playing in the arena again, in front of a crowd that were really supporting you?

It’s amazing to play here I feel like a little bit of every counter [strike fans] comes here to watch the tournament. Very easy for Europeans to connect and come to Cologne to watch it. People from other continents are coming as well. It’s always a great atmosphere, I feel like every[one] that comes to play, feels like the crowd is celebrating Counter-Strike in the end, so Cologne is a special place to play Counter-Strike.

Do you see a bit of yourself in Molodoy?

Honestly, I think he has his own style, of course some plays are going to be similar but I don’t think we are quite the same type of player. I have a lot of admiration for him, he is playing well so far and he has so much to grow. I’m quite happy with the things he’s been developing, I’m happy with his attitude, I’m happy with the daily job he is putting in. I’m having a lot of fun playing with him.

With this line-up you have now. Do you think FURIA will make more playoffs this year?

That’s the goal. The goal is to be performing at a high level, improving every game we play. There’s many more tournament to come in the season. We are going to have to recoup now, learn from this game and try better next time. I think the team is growing fast and at a good pace so I’m quite happy with it and I’m looking forward to the next tournaments.
