The semi-finals of the Esports World Cup has been one rollercoaster today. We have witnessed two upsets in the semi-finals, leaving The MongolZ and Aurora to battle it out to lift the trophy tomorrow at the EWC 2025.

The MongolZ vs Vitality

The first semi-final game of the day was between The MongolZ and Vitality. The MongolZ have been playing great Counter-Strike in recent events and that has carried over here to the EWC. They easily beat Vitality on Mirage. They had a slight slip up on Dust2, were Vitality were able to secure that map for themselves. This left both teams fates to be determined on Nuke. The MongolZ played their A game, taking yard and ramp control and shutting down Vitality, besting them and eliminating them from the Esports World Cup. They now find their way into the Grand Finals!

Aurora vs Falcons

Aurora took on the Falcons in their semi-final game to determine who will be playing against The MongolZ in the Grand Final of the EWC 2025. Aurora came out the gates on all cylinders, able to take down Falcons 13-6 on Inferno and narrowly beat them on Train 13-11, paving their way to the Grand Finals against The MongolZ. Falcons let Aurora clutch to many late rounds and 1v3’s on Train, leading to their elimination from the tournament here at the Esports World Cup.
