StarLadder have revealed that Valve have made their Grand Final for the Major in Budapest a BO5. Until this day, Majors have always been played to a BO3 format, allowing for some quick and dominating series at one of the most anticipated events of the year.

The tournament will be held over a 3 week period with all teams fighting for $1,250,000. It will feature the first ever BO5 format for a Major Grand Final and will be viewed from all angles on a 360 degree stage. There will be 20,000 people attending the event each day!

This could lead to one of the best Majors of all time if all 5 maps are to be played.
