FaZe earlier this morning announced the benching of AWPer broky, who has been slacking recently in tier 1 events and games for FaZe. This does not mean that he is no longer a great AWPer, but the dynamic within FaZe could have changed making him no longer fit into the play style they want to carry on with for the future. Broky has been in FaZe since just before 2020, making his stint with FaZe an incredible 5 years long.

His teammates Rain and Karrigan had his to say about the AWPer:

“Goodbye for now my friend. Watching you grow up from the little kid from fpl to the man and player you are today has been nothing short of amazing. Wish you the best of luck in whatever the future holds for you buddy.” – rain

“Roughest benching off my career, something had to be done and I wanna really highlight this is not a blame on broky. The lineup didn’t work and I used all my experience, but with this we throw a Hail Mary at the major. Long term we have no idea yet what’s gonna happen.

I wanna express that I know the beasts is inside of him and I feel bad we couldn’t get it out lately. We all failed in the team and that’s the sad part, but I know and I hope we get to see the beast in him again soon.” – Karrigan

With this benching of broky, it has come as an opportunity for the return of the GOAT of Counter-Strike, S1mple to make a return to the competitive play and play another Major!

The last time S1mple was a stand-in at a Major the iconic double no scope on Cache happened, forcing Counter-Strike to implement this graffiti into the game.

Many prolific names in the scene have come out to congratulate S1mple including Na’Vi coach B1ad3 who wished him luck!

His future teammate Karrigan had this to say about the GOAT’s addition to his roster:

“Unique opportunity and I’m Looking forward to play with this GOAT at the major   This is an all in move, we are going for the trophy at major even if Sasha is only a stand-in, I know we can win.” – Karrigan
