The opening day of BLAST Open London 2025 has come to a close, with upsets, an ACE and a 13-0, todays games have been a spectacle to watch. Here we present a full breakdown of todays games below.

Vitality vs M80
The first match-up of the day was between the almighty Vitality and N/A’s very own M80. In a surprise opening map, M80 smashed Vitality out the park. M80 only allowed Vitality to acquire 3 total rounds on Overpass. After Vitality won the pistol round they struggled to find their footing in the map and lost multiple rounds in concession. Lake had an incredible game, boasting a K/D of 19-9 and a rating of 1.74. Vitality, however, were able to reverse sweep M80 after a horrible loss on the first map, they won 13-7 and 13-10 on Dust2 and Inferno respectively. Zywoo went 24-13 on Dust2, with FlameZ having a great series for Vitality throughout all maps.

GamerLegion vs Virtus.Pro
GamerLegion took on the side of Virtus.Pro in their opening match-up at BLAST London 2025. GamerLegion came out in stride. They were playing with confidence and great teamplay, taking sites and forcing incredible rotates and timings on both maps of Dust2 and Ancient. I wish we could say the same for Virtus.Pro, however, they were all over the place. They had a very sloppy gameplan and were extremely uncoordinated as a unit. This in turn allowed GamerLegion to dominate them 2-0 in this series.

FaZe vs ECSTATIC
FaZe and ECSTATIC battled it out together in their opening game of BLAST London. After losing EliGE and signing young player Jcobbb, it was unclear if FaZe would be able to beat ECSTATIC, a pretty good Danish team. Karrigan stated in an interview that “we have only played 10 maps with Jcobbb” when asked how much time they have had to practice with the young Polish player. In a great showing on Overpass, ECSTATIC were able to shut FaZe out and secure that map under their belt. ECSTATIC were able to get sneaky and well timed kills in the back with good reads over FaZe. However, after showing such a great show of communication, firepower and teamwork, ECSTATIC just lost everything. They could not do anything against FaZe on Dust2, losing an incredible 13-0 to the new roster. You would think this score line would demoralize the team going into map three. However, in back and forth battle for rounds on Inferno, ECSTATIC were able to take FaZe to OT. Unfortunately for them, FaZe dominated in OT beating them 16-13 and securing the series win for FaZe.

Na’Vi vs Fnatic
Na’Vi and Fnatic went at it in their first game of BLAST London. After an early exit from the Esports World Cup, Aleksib said that Na’Vi immediately went to bootcamp in preparation for this tournament to better themselves. Na’Vi were able to best the side of Fnatic in this match-up 2-0 in the series. Fnatic, did show signs that they could compete and match firepower with these tier 1 teams. They put up a great fight getting 10 rounds on Train and 8 rounds on Mirage against a majority Major winning team.
