The final day of Stage 3 has come to an end, deciding the fate of the last remaining teams, determining who will be heading home and who will be playing in front of a crowd here in Austin, Texas. We have a breakdown of the final day and look into positions after the qualification stages to playoffs.
Legacy vs MOUZ
The Brazilian side of Legacy took on one of the best teams out there right now, MOUZ. Legacy stomped MOUZ on their opening map 13-4, sending waves through the scene that MOUZ could be eliminated from the Major. However, MOUZ were able to stay composed winning their second map of Inferno in still a very close score line for the Legacy organisation. Legacy were up 10-6 on Inferno but let MOUZ comeback to 13-11?! saadzin missed a lot of AWP opportunities and took a little to may no-scopes that did not connect. on the third map, Nuke, Legacy again had an incredible 9-3 lead at the half! However, MOUZ found their form and were able to comeback and reverse sweep the Brazilian side 13-10 and win the series 2:1, securing their spot in the playoffs and sending Legacy packing from such an extraordinary Major run.

The MongolZ vs G2
The second elimination best of three was between that of The MongolZ and G2. Ever since the departure of star players NiKo and m0NESY from the G2 arsenal, G2 have struggled to put any fight on the board or make deep runs in tournaments. In their first map, The MongolZ blew G2 out the water beating them 13-6 on Ancient. Going into the second map, it was do or die for the G2 side. In a crazy turn of events, the game ended up going all the way to 28-25! This is basically 2 games of Dust2. In the end, The MongolZ were able to keep their cool and take the final rounds securing their 2:0 series win against G2. Senzu got an incredible 56 kills in regulation and OT combined.

Virtus.pro vs paiN
In the final game of Stage 3 to see who would be heading home and who would be heading into the Moody Centre was between Virtus.pro and paiN. Virtus.pro, who went 3-0 in Stage 2, looked shaky and uncoordinated in this best of 3 for elimination. paiN took the first map of Mirage 13-8, with Virtus.pro winning the second map, Inferno, 13-6. This left the deciding map of Dust2 to determine who would be heading to the Playoffs in the arena. In the end paiN were able to clinch victory from Virtus.pro, eliminating them from the tournament and advancing them to the Playoffs of the BLAST Austin Major 2025.
