Day 3 of the third Stage of the Major has concluded. We see more teams leave and more teams head to the playoffs after this third day of play. We have yet another recap from todays games and seedings.

Legacy vs Lynn Vision

In the first game of the day, it was a battle between the two 1-2 teams Legacy and Lynn Vision. The Brazilians were stomped in their first map Dust2 13-2 but were able to stay composed and do the same back to the Chinese team on Inferno, beating them 13-3. This left both teams fighting on the third deciding map of Nuke to see who would be eliminated and leaving the Austin Major. Legacy were able to best the side of Lynn Vision 13-5 and eliminate them from the tournament. This leaves Legacy fighting tomorrow in the 2-2 bracket for another elimination game.

3DMAX vs paiN

The French took on the Brazilians to see who would be eliminated from the tournament here in Austin. In a very very close series between both sides, paiN were able to close out the series 2:0, giving them another chance tomorrow to either qualify to playoffs or be eliminated themselves. 3DMAX are now out of the tournament ending their run.

The MongolZ vs FaZe

The MongolZ took on FaZe in the 2-1 bracket to see who would be heading straight to playoffs, or who would be left fighting tomorrow on the verge of elimination. FaZe were able to beat the Mongolian side 2:0 in the series, dominating them on the second map of Anubis 13-4 and sending themselves into the playoffs in Austin. The MongolZ will fight again tomorrow for their spot or their seats back to Mongolia.

Aurora vs MOUZ

Aurora took on MOUZ in their elimination game. The series went all the way to three maps with MOUZ being able to best the Turkish side 2:1 in the series. Aurora are now unfortunately eliminated from the Major and MOUZ will fight again tomorrow to see if they either get eliminated or head to the playoffs of the Austin Major 2025.

Virtus.pro vs Vitality

Virtus.pro took on Vitality in the 2-1 bracket. This game decides who will progress straight to playoffs and who will have to play tomorrow with elimination looming over their shoulders. Vitality, expectedly, beat Virtus.pro 2:0 in the series. They beat them 13-6 on both maps, showing that they are acquiring their form back after their rough start on the first day of Stage 3. Vitality head to playoffs and leave VP playing tomorrow to decide their fate.

Na’Vi vs G2

Na’Vi took on G2 in the 2-1 bracket, also to decide who would be heading straight to playoffs or on the line of elimination. Na’Vi and G2 took the series all the way to three maps, with Na’Vi able to close it out in double OT beating G2 19-16 to secure their spot in the playoffs, leaving G2 to fight in an elimination game to decide their fate at the Austin Major.
