Day 3 of Stage 2 comes to an end, we say goodbye to more teams and their dreams and welcome others to battle it out in their final deciding game. We have a rundown of the full of Day 3 and what teams have been eliminated and what ones fight for another day here in Austin.

Nemiga vs M80

In the first elimination game of the day, Nemiga took on the North American side of M80. Nemiga came into this match-up strong however, on map 1 the game was very back and forth with the final score leaning in favour of Nemiga 13-11. Going into map 2, Nemiga blew M80 out of the water, destroying them 13-2 in the series! After this course of events, M80 are now eliminated from the BLAST Austin Major 2025.

TYLOO vs HEROIC

The second elimination game of the day was between none other than TYLOO and HEROIC. Two teams that have been battling it out in Stage 1 and here in Stage 2. Struggling to get wins in the second stage, both have to face off to eliminate the others dreams of attending a major! Both teams came into this matchup looking at their best, with map 1 going to OT in TYLOO’s favour they took that home 16-12. HEROIC, on the other hand, were able to reverse sweep the series, winning the other 2 maps to secure them another day at the Major. Unfortunately, we have to say bye to Jee and TYLOO after their loss as they are now eliminated from the tournament. We will miss Jee’s interviews.

Lynn Vision vs paiN

On a happier note, Lynn Vision and paiN battled it out in the 2-1 bracket to see who would be going straight to Stage 3, 3-0, or who would have to play another game tomorrow to finish the stage 3-2 or be eliminated 2-3! paiN absolutely came into this game prepared, beating the Chinese side 2-0 in the series and guaranteeing them their spot in Stage 3. This leaves Lynn Vision on the brink of elimination having to play one more game to decide their fate.

FURIA vs B8

The second 2-1 bracket of the day was between FURIA and B8. B8 were able to go 3-0 in Stage 1 with a great team performance. Unfortunately, in this series they were only able to show that on Mirage, where they bested FURIA 13-3. FURIA, on the other hand, did not appreciate getting stomped so hard and reverse sweeped the Ukranian side winning 13-6 on Train and 13-7 on Dust2 to send them on to Stage 3. B8 will have to play another best of three to decide whether they progress or are eliminated from the tournament.

Falcons vs MIBR

The most unexpected game in all of Counter-Strikes 2025 seasons so far, was between Falcons and MIBR. We never thought we would be writing about Falcons being on the brink of elimination and coming up against the not so strong Brazilian MIBR, they were destined to win this and continue their run in to Stage 3. MIBR had different thoughts, MIBR were able to reverse sweep the multi million dollar side of Falcons, beating them 2:1 in the series and sending them packing from the Austin Major in Dallas!

FaZe vs 3DMAX

For the final game of the day, it was a 2-1 bracket game. FaZe took on the confident French side of 3DMAX. 3DMAX did not give FaZe any rsepect int his matchup. They came out guns blazing and bested FaZe 2:0 in the series. This sends 3DMAX to Stage 3 and leaves the side of FaZe fighting for another day, playing in a series where they either progress or join Falcons at de_airport.
