The second day of competition here in Stage 2 has concluded. We had some exciting games today, that of FaZe vs Legacy to decide who progresses straight to Stage 3 and the fight between OG and Falcons to see who would be packing their bags and saying their goodbyes to Austin. We have yet another full breakdown of Day 2 of Stage 2 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025!

TYLOO vs Lynn Vision

The first game of the day was between the two Chinese teams that had fought their way through Stage 1. This game was between the 1-1 teams with Lynn Vision dominating their counter-part TYLOO 13-5. They progress to the 2-1 bracket and send TYLOO to the 1-2 bracket.

3DMAX vs Nemiga

The French side of 3DMAX took on a very strong looking Russian Nemiga. This was another best of one to decide who would go 1-2 or 2-1 in the Day 2. With such a close game, 3DMAX were able to clinch victory 13-11 and secure their 2-1 bracket with Nemiga heading down to the 1-2 bracket.

FURIA vs M80

The South American team FURIA took on the North American team M80 to see who would be sent down to the elimination bracket of 1-2. FURIA, specifically molodoy and YEKINDAR looked incredible. They were able to lead their side to victory over M80, 13-8! They move on to the 2-1 bracket, seeing M80 head to the 1-2 bracket after Day 2.

B8 vs HEROIC

B8 took on HEROIC in their 1-1 bracket. B8 were able to best HEROIC, who both went 3-0 in Stage 1 of the tournament. They took down HEROIC 13-10 in the best of one and head to the 2-1 bracket. HEROIC now have to fight to stay in the tournament, heading down to the 1-2 bracket.

FaZe vs Legacy

A very surprising turn of events led to this match-up. Legacy who were not even meant to be at the tournament were in the 2-0 bracket fighting it against FaZe, with s1mple, to see who progresses straight to Stage 3 of the tournament. Legacy were able to beat FaZe 2-0! 2-0 in a best of three to see themselves head to Stage 3 to play with the big dogs of the tournament.

paiN vs Virtus.pro

paiN and Virtus.pro both made it to the 2-0 bracket to play and see who could clinch that all powerful 3-0 to get a ticket straight to Stage 3. Virtus.pro were able to beat down paiN 2:0 in the series and book their spot in Stage 3 after two very close games against the Brazilian side.

MIBR vs BetBoom

MIBR and BetBoom played their best of three series to decide who would be eliminated from the tournament here in Austin. Suprisingly, MIBR were able to best BetBoom not just in one map but two. They beat the Russian side 2-0 in the series sending BetBoom packing from their Major run in Austin. BetBoom are now eliminated and MIBR are left fighting another day.

OG vs Falcons

The most anticipated game of the day, one that nobody imagined would happen, would be between OG and Falcons in the 0-2 bracket. Falcons, who have played in multiple finals this year, struggled to get a map in both of yesterday’s games in Stage 2. They took on a very strong looking OG, who would not let them win in the series easily. With OG winning the first map 13-11, everybody thought that was the end of Falcons Major run in Austin. However, Falcons were able to reverse sweep OG winning the next two maps 13-10 and 13-6, giving them an extra day in Texas to possibly make the playoffs in this Major.
