After the first day of competition, where teams have been battling it out to get ever closer to the playoff stage, there have been a lot of upsets and quite remarkable scores. However, we do recognise these are best of ones.
We have got a breakdown of all scores and match-outcomes within this recap for day 1 of BLAST.tv’s Austin Major 2025!
First games of Stage 1:
Complexity vs OG
Coming into the Major with a stand-in, Complexity were still heavy favourites, with a significant amount of people sticking with their guns as they expected them to go 3-0. Unfortunately, OG’s nicoodoz went 33-6 in the match up, securing them their first game of the day!

HEROIC vs Chinggis Warriors
HEROIC came into the match-up as the favourites with a lot of the player base putting Chinggis Warriors as their 0-3 pick.

BetBoom vs Nemiga
BetBoom vs Nemiga was a game to watch, especially in the Major as Train is not often picked. BetBoom went into the match-up strong and taking the first game of the day of Nemiga.

B8 vs Imperial
B8, boasting the likes of headtr1ck and npl, were seen as the team to win in this match-up, proving so. Imperial have had a rough couple games the last months and it seems to be affecting them here at the Major!

TYLOO vs NRG
Everyone loves the likes of Jee and nitr0 and with them coming head to head in their first game team NA vs team Jee, it was hard to pick a side. NRG came out the gates strong, defeating TYLOO easily 13-5 to pick up their first win of the day!

Lynn Vision vs Legacy
Legacy play their first game of the Major after, technically not even qualifying! They however were beat by a much stronger Lynn Vision knocking them down to the 0-1 bracket after the first game.

Wildcard vs Metizport
The highly anticipated match-up. Twin brother vs twin brother to see who progresses into the 1-0 bracket at the Major. For two family members to meet at the Major, let alone be identical twins is incredible and this was a match-up people wanted to see. Unfortunately for one of them, they got obliterated 13-1 by their direct sibling…

FlyQuest vs Fluxo
The Aussie’s vs the Brazilians. The Australian side seemed as if they had prepared hard for their time at the Major, playing incredibly well against the opponents. They were able to go 1-0 in their first game of the day.

Second Round of Stage 1:
After teams played their first games, depending on the results they either made it to the 1-0 or 0-1 games and all teams would play again.
HEROIC vs NRG
After both their wins, HEROIC and NRG faced off to see who would go 2-0 or 1-1 in the second round of stage 1. HEROIC did not let off the gas from their first game, beating NRG 13-5 to go 2-0!

B8 vs OG
Both teams in the 1-0 came against each other and with OG smashing their first game, their second game was however, unexciting to say the least. B8’s performance however showed why they were here at the Major. They smashed OG 13-9 to lead them into the 2-0 bracket with ease!

BetBoom vs FlyQuest
Both teams played really well in their first best of one match-ups. FlyQuest breezed through this game, looking like a real contender for that Major title besting BetBoom 13-6 to secure a 2-0 lead in the brackets.

Lynn Vision vs Wildcard
After Wildcards 13-1 win over Metizport, we were expecting to see another stomping against Lynn Vision. They game was incredibly tight going to double OT to prove who should be going into those 2-0 games. Wildcard were able to clinch victory from the jaws of Lynn Vision and progress to the 2-0 bracket.

Complexity vs Fluxo
Both teams were entering this game with a loss on their belts, both teams put up a great game but Complexity were able to clutch up and advance to the 1-1 bracket leaving Fluxo in the dust back in the 0-2 bracket.

Chinggis Warriors vs Legacy
Both of these rosters were also coming into this knowing they had a loss tied to their names already. Chinggis Warriors were ready to prove the 0-3 haters wrong but unfortunately now head to the 0-2 bracket after their loss against Legacy. Legacy however not making it to the Major, technically, have shown that they can win games in a Major setting.

Imperial vs Nemiga
Imperial and Nemiga have struggled to get rounds under their belt at the Major so far, but one of these teams was guaranteed at least 13 here. Nemiga were fortunate enough to beat Imperial 13-9 and move to the 1-1 bracket leaving Imperial stuck at 0-2.

TYLOO vs Metizport
Metizport have really not had the greatest starts to their Major endeavour only gaining 1 round against Wildcard and grabbing a total of 4 in this match-up. They head down to the 0-2 bracket with TYLOO who dominated this game going to the 1-1 bracket after their convincing win here at Austin!

This concludes the recap of the first day of stage 1 at BLAST’s Austin Major 2025. There are more games tomorrow to determine who will be closer to elimination and closer to making the almighty play-offs stage of a Major!
