Team Vitality are crowned the CHAMPIONS of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 after 2-1 win over The MongolZ

The BLAST.tv Austin Major Grand Final has come to an end, with an incredible match-up between Vitality and The MongolZ heading all the way to three maps. We have a complete rundown of the Grand Final battle of the Austin CS2 Major!

Mirage – 13-5 to The MongolZ

In the first map of the Final, MongolZ pick, Dust2. The MongolZ came to show that they were not giving Vitality an easy Major victory. They came flying out the gate, with Senzu going 20-9 and 910 going 20-14. 910 was able to acquire match-point for the Mongolian side with an ACE against the best team in the world (shown below):

The MongolZ were able to claim their map pick 13-5 sending Vitality back to the team room to evaluate their reverse sweep run.

Dust2 – 13-4 to Vitality

Vitality came back from their opening game loss to present a great representation of teamwork and communication on Dust2, their map pick. Vitality were stacking grenades across the map and juggling them from places to be able to use them as a sort of artillery strike for one player, apEX on ramp triple grenades short. You could tell that Vitality had been practicing on Dust2 a lot with their tactics and setups. There was a lot of flashing for teammates and opening smokes with grenades for the French organization allowing them to get the opening round kills consistently. Mezii ended the scoreboard top, going 20-7. Senzu was the only player on The MongolZ that was able to break double digits in the killing department.

Inferno – 13-4 to Vitality

In the decider map, Inferno, the Mongolian side looked lost. They really struggled to pull together a convincing round with one of their star players 910 getting his first kill on round 11! Vitality’s utility and teamplay ultimately bested The MongolZ beating them 13-4 and crowning themselves as the BLAST.tv Austin Major Champions and the greatest team of all-time.

Vitality Champions:

This is Vitality’s 7th trophy in 7 tournaments. Mezii is the first Brit to win a Major title and FlameZ winning his first Major on his 22nd birthday, on the 22nd of June with it being the 22nd Major! The stars aligned, this was always Vitality’s claim!
